Attractions

The Teton Yoga Festival will be held at the Moose Creek Ranch in Teton Valley, Idaho. Our valley sits between the Grand Teton National Park, Targhee National Forest and the Big Hole Mountains.

We are located one mile from the Wyoming border, 30 miles from Jackson Hole, and about 70 miles from Yellowstone National Park. If you choose to extend your stay, there is so much to see and do right in our back yard. Take in the fresh air and breathtaking scenery and enjoy what Teton Valley has to offer.

Hiking

 

Our valley is home to a seemingly endless number of hiking trails, from a mellow meadow loop to an aggressive alpine summit, and everything in between! Looking for something close to the festival? Fly Fishing

 

Want to experience some of the greatest fly fishing rivers in the Western United States? Book a full day excursion with Teton Valley Lodge or another great local outfitter! Learn the ropes from a knowledgeable guide in the comfort of  adrift boat, which will allow you to cover lots of water and navigate into the best fishing holes. Guide, transportation, fishing equipment, and lunch are included, but fishing licenses must be purchased separately prior to the trip. Each drift boat seats two guests plus a guide. 

Biking

 

No matter the type of biking you are looking for, you will find it in Teton Valley! If it is fast, flowy, single-track you’re after, there are countless trails within our many canyons just waiting to be explored. Thrill-seekers interested in downhill riding can check out Grand Targhee Resort’s bike park, which touts lift accessible terrain for beginner, intermediate and expert riders. Those who prefer a leisurely cruise around town, or an easy road ride, will enjoy miles of paved pathway that networks between Driggs and Victor. 

Take a bike tour on an easy 12-mile round trip ride along Idaho’s Ashton to Tetonia Trail. Embark on an unforgettable excursion along a former rail sure covering some of the most beautiful landscapes that Teton Valley has to offer. With epic views of the Tetons, a ride over a long and high trestle bridge, a seemingly endless fields of barley and hay as far as the eye can see will be a fun ride you won’t ever forget. Horseback Riding

 

Saddle up for a fun, scenic ride with a local outfitter, such as Moose Creek Ranch, Linn Canyon Ranch or Dry Ridge Outfitters. All experience levels are welcome on these wrangler-guided, nose -to-tail adventures. Two-hour, three-hour, half-day, and full-day rides are offered, with variable start times depending on the location and length of trip. Age minimum is eight years old for a proper tail ride, with pony rides available for younger kiddoes. Group and private trips are available. 

 

Hot Air Ballooning

 

Take in spectacular views of the Teton range while soaring peacefully above the valley floor in the basket of a hot air balloon. Trips are only offered during sunrise horse when winds are the calmest. The entire experience is about 3-4 hours in duration, including and hour-long flight. Age minimum is 6 years old. Trips are reserved privately and baskets can hold up to 4 guests or a maximum group weight of 550 pounds. 

 

Snake River Scenic Floats

 

Kick back and relax on this spectacular and adventurous 13-mile float down the snake river with epic scenery and incredible views of the Teton and Snake River Mountain ranges. Look for a variety of wildlife including bald eagles, elk, moose, mule, deer, otters, beaver, and more. 

 

Grand Teton National Park Scenic Float Trips

Marvel at breathtaking views of the Teton Range while floating a leisurely 10-mile stretch of the Snake River in Grand Teton National Park. There will be some stretches of swift water, but no whitewater sections, so you should not get wet on the scenic trips. Trips are 2.5-3 hour in duration, not including drive time from Victor, and are offered throughout the morning and afternoon. Group and private trips are available. Whitewater Rafting

 

Whitewater rafting takes you along and exciting 8-mile stretch of the Snake River in Jackson, through the scenic Snake River Canyon. You will paddle through 8-10 rapids on this class III river, including the famed Big Kahuna and Lunch Counter, along with several calm stretches. Trips are 3.5-4 hours in duration, including drive time from Victor, and are offered throughout the morning and afternoon. Group and private trips are available. Guide, transportation to and from the river, and lifejacket are provided, while wetsuits and booties are available for rent. Outfitters - Jackson Hole Whitewater and Dave Hansen Whitewater. 

 

Eco Tours (Grand Teton & Yellowstone National Park)

 

Embark on an interpretive and inspirational road based adventure of discovery to see first hand, and gain a better understanding of, Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks geology, cultural history, ecology, and wildlife.
